This not JUST a walking tour nor JUST a cheese and wine tasting. Your guide Michael has 20 years experience running his own cheese shop in Switzerland, he now spends most of his time writing and talking about cheese, including taking guests on his unique cheese "Shopping Walks". On his tours you will visit 3 or 4 cheese shops and learn how to spot the best cheeses and how to make a perfect cheese board. You'll also learn how to travel with, store, care for and even how best to cut your cheeses. The tasting is held in a unique wine shop in the centre of the city, but in rather a secret location! The owner will give a small introduction about Dutch Wine and he will choose a White and a Red Wine to compliment the cheeses that have been bought. Michael will then serve the cheeses with bread and explain why they all look, smell and taste different. You'll also learn how the cheeses are made, who makes them and the history of the recipes. He also has many interesting anecdotes to share!
